Undergraduate Program
The undergraduate program in Geomatics Engineering will lead to a 120 credit, four-year Bachelor
of Science degree in Geomatics Engineering (BSGE).
The Geomatics Engineering curriculum has been designed to meet all requirements for accreditation by the
Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Graduation from an ABET accredited program is the
universally accepted education credential required for professional registration.
With its focus upon math, science, general education, and other preparatory work, the first two years of the
Geomatics Engineering curriculum are much the same as those for other engineering programs in the College of
Engineering and Computer Science. Through an existing state articulation agreement for engineering, almost all of
this coursework for the first two years can be completed at any Florida community college.
See the "Course Implementation Schedule" to find out when specific upper
level classes will be offered at FAU. See the "Acceptable Humanities/Social Science Electives" to find
out what courses qualify as H&SS electives.
